1: Secretary to the CEO

Job Summary


Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be responsible for clerical and administrative functions of the CEO’s office.

Key Results Areas
  • Is responsible for maintaining the CEO's schedule and coordinating some of its events, such as conferences, meetings and workshops; 
  • Is responsible for Clerical duties; 
  • Interacts with both the external and internal customers before they see the CEO; 
  • Manages mail in the CEO’s office; 
  • Ensures that the CEO’s office is well taken care of and performs any other duties as are assigned by the Supervisor.
Other Job Requirements:
  • A diploma in Secretarial Studies, Office Management or its equivalent; 
  • Three years of experience as a general secretary; 
  • Candidates with a certificate and 5 years experience may also be considered. 
  • The candidate should have a working knowledge of computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office; 
  • Must excel at following instructions and often need to multitask; 
  • Must have a speed in typing of about 50 words per minute and have a thorough knowledge of how to use basic office equipment like computers, phones and fax machines; 
  • “O” Level qualification of at least C-; 
  • Age below 35 years; 
  • Team player with excellent public relations, communication and reporting skills; 
  • Familiar with a variety of the office's concepts, practices, and procedures; 
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude and above all, must be professional and have a positive attitude towards work.
2. Credit Operations Manager

Job Summary:


The position reports to the CEO and is responsible for heading the Credit Operations function of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of credit operations’ team; 
  • Responsible for the development of Credit Operation policies and procedures; 
  • Responsible for enforcement of operational policies and procedures, preparation, review and monitoring of operational plans and programs; 
  • Responsible for market surveys, outreach, publicity and marketing activities; 
  • Responsible for programme documentation and reporting; 
  • Team leader in the development of new products and innovations in the delivery of financial services; 
  • Management of the loan portfolio e.g. ensures that all loan policies, conditions and procedures are followed; 
  • Liaison with Government agencies and other stakeholders; 
  • Management of all departmental activities;
  • Managing all SISDO resources in the department; 
  • Providing general leadership, guidance / support to all staff in the department and to perform any other duty as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have a Masters’ degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Finance / Social Science; 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience at a supervisory position in a banking / Microfinance Institution; 
  • A good understanding of the MFI act; 
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Ms Office; 
  • Minimum age of 30 years; 
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili; 
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; 
  • Ability to work with diverse group of people; 
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi task; 
  • Financial management, proposal and report writing skills; 
  • Full understanding of enterprise value chain systems and concepts and ability to manage risks in a financial institution; 
  • Ability to make independent decisions; 
  • Meticulous and detail oriented and ability to ensure quality service delivery in operations including compliance with organization’s mission, vision and objectives.
3. Human Resource Manager

Job Summary:


The position reports to the CEO and is responsible for heading the HR function of the organization. 
The position guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization; 
  • Recruitment and staffing; 
  • Organizational and space planning; 
  • Organization development; 
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns; 
  • Employee orientation and development; 
  • Policy development and documentation; 
  • Must be efficient in Employee relations, HR Practices, Industrial Relations and Performance Management; 
  • Familiarity with current HR trends; 
  • Compensation and benefits administration; 
  • Planning for orientation of new staff in consultation with Heads of Departments; Responsible for staff welfare activities e.g. weddings, death e.t.c; 
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; Employee services and counseling; 
  • Managing all SISDO resources in the department; 
  • Providing general leadership, guidance / support to all staff in the department and perform any other duty as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • A Masters’ degree in HR, Business Administration / Social Science; 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience at a HR position; 
  • A good understanding of the MFI act; Excellent skills and familiarity in HR soft ware; 
  • Minimum age of 30 years;

The positions are on a three - year renewable performance based employment contract.
